Positive Earth is a partnership between Dave Christian and Jacquelyn Cook.  We try to make a positive difference to the world by looking after the planet, ourselves and each other... and hopefully insipiring others along the way!

Our business was born in 2012 from a shared desire to reduce waste. A reaction against mass-consumerism and a disposable world where 'things' can be thrown away and replaced without a moment's thought.  We set out with the intention to take materials which other people were happy to throw away and turn them into something useful and/or beautiful.  

Initially we focused on creating a wide range of home-wares, gifts and bespoke furniture from materials otherwise destined for landfill; and this is still our main income stream today.  We work closely with our clients to design and build furniture which is specific to their unique needs.  This personal approach, combined with our attention to detail, has led to many customers coming back to us time and time again.  

We use locally sourced or 'rescued' wood alongside other items donated to us and recycle as much as we can.  

Jac is also a pyrography artist and reiki practitioner, blending together creative and spiritual practices to promote the importance of well-being and self-care.  Her artwork is inspired by nature and a desire to live in harmony with the earth.  She works specifically with recycled wood, using the natural grains and defects to inspire or compliment a theme. 

Beyond this Positive Earth is more than a business - it is our way of life.  We aim to tread lightly on the earth, living as sustainably as we can and hopefully inspiring others to appreciate and protect the natural world around us.  Our vision is to one day build an off-grid 'Positive Earth Community' where human beings live and work in harmony with the natural world, but for now you can join our on-line community either in our Facebook group or follow our blog at www.positive-earth-community.com.
